See how Quick Share to AirDrop works on your Galaxy phone

See how Quick Share to AirDrop works on your Galaxy phone

Samsung has finally released the update that brings the ability to AirDrop files to an iPhone and Mac using your Galaxy device. Google had previously made this possible on Pixel phones only and now Samsung's devices have access to the feature as well.

Our colleagues over at SamMobile TV have put together a nice video showing just how you can enable this feature, how it works, what speeds you can expect when transferring files, etc.

The great thing about this Quick Share AirDrop feature is that it works both ways. Not only can you send files from your Galaxy phone to an Apple device but it also works the other way around. This makes it so much easier for your friends with iPhones to quickly share files with you.

It's not just iPhones that you can send files to. The feature also works on Mac OS devices as well, we've tested it out and it works as advertised. Currently the feature is only available on the Galaxy S26 series but there are strong indications that many existing devices will get this capability as well.

You can check out the full video below to learn everything there is to know about the Quick Share AirDrop feature on Samsung devices. We'd love for you to subscribe to our YouTube channel as well so that you can always stay in the loop.
